We are looking for an Head of Catering Operations for one of our top clients in Central London. This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong communication capabilities. You will be responsible for delivering all aspects of catering services, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. This role involves strategic delivery of operations, team management, and collaboration with various departments to deliver exceptional catering experiences that exceed client expectations and contribute to the commercial delivery of the contract.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day catering operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and standards to maintain high quality and consistency.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of supplies.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of catering staff, including chefs, servers, and support personnel.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff members.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the catering business and achieve company objectives.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for growth, expanding the catering services offered.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success and identify areas for improvement.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Customise catering offerings to meet client requirements, providing creative and personalised solutions.
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, controlling costs and maximising profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance, analysing data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms and pricing.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Implement and enforce food safety standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
