This is a 6 month full time opportunity (Fixed Term Contract).

Brandon Hire Station have an exciting seasonal opportunity for someone to join our Weston-Super-Mare branch team on a six month fixed term contract as an Events Delivery Driver to help us cover the busy South West region events season. This role could turn permanent for the right individual. 

About the role 

Working for us as our seasonal Events Delivery Driver your role will be have two main functions. Firstly you’ll be responsible for the delivery and collection our Events equipment (mostly portable toilets and fencing) and then when you’re done you’ll head back to base to join the team in the branch to help out there. The role is varied and as such is split between driving and assisting in the branch so you must be happy with carrying out both aspects of the job, one day you could be out on the road and the next in the branch doing whatever’s needed.

Key responsibilities
  

  • Carry out all deliveries and collections as allocated to you by your line manager
  • Supporting the branch with anything they need
  • Giving clear and confident demonstration of equipment to customers when required
  • Display professional customer service at all times whilst on site and driving the company vehicle
  • Ensuring all equipment is stored safely and correctly whilst in branch and in transit
  • Responsible for the presentation and basic maintenance of the equipment
  • Assist in any other ad hoc duties within the branch

What we’re looking for  

  • We expect that you do have some driving experience and a good knowledge of the area
  • Ability to tow a trailer
  • You enjoy meeting people and can understand and demonstrate what great customer service looks like
  • Enjoy a varied and busy workload both driving and in branch
  • With an interest in machinery, you will have basic knowledge of how equipment works and or be keen to learn and widen your own expertise
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace
  • Full driving licence essential with the ability to tow a trailer
  • Pro-active can do attitude, being happy to help where and when needed
