📢 We’re Hiring: US Senior Data Privacy Advisor
📍 Location: United States (Remote or Hybrid, depending on location)
Are you passionate about privacy and data protection? We’re looking for a Senior Data Privacy Advisor to strengthen our privacy footprint across North America — with a key focus on the United States 🇺🇸.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- 📄 Assist in the design and implementation of privacy policies, processes, and procedures across North America, including the US and Canada
- 🏢 Partner with business functions to create function-specific privacy procedures, processes, and controls
- 📚 Support data owners in maintaining an inventory of personal data processing, and provide education around key responsibilities (e.g. what is personal data, usage, access, documentation, etc.)
- 📣 Drive awareness and culture around data privacy in the United States
- 🎓 Support training initiatives to keep employees informed on essential privacy topics
- ✅ Assist with privacy compliance reviews, including third-party evaluations where needed
- 🕵️♀️ Help investigate privacy incidents, breaches, and complaints for US and Canadian entities
- 🤝 Contribute to merger & acquisition due diligence and help deliver integration activities
💼 Experience & Skills Required:
✅ Essential:
- 📌 2–3 years of direct experience in privacy
- 🔄 Proven ability to drive privacy initiatives and foster a strong privacy culture
- 🌍 Solid understanding of global privacy laws, including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and notice of breach laws
- 🔧 Ability to translate regulations into practical solutions
- 🤝 Strong relationship management skills across all organizational levels
✨ Nice to Have:
- 💻 Experience with OneTrust or similar enterprise privacy management tools
- ⚠️ Knowledge of risk management processes: identification, mitigation, and reporting
- 📊 Familiarity with data reporting and metrics development
- 📅 Exposure to project management methodologies
