Overview
You will provide a therapeutic service which is rooted in trauma and attachment informed models of care and is strongly led by a “brain-based” approach. You will be part of the clinical team providing strengths-based, needs and risk assessments, along with a PACE informed approach to provide clinical consultations and training to our therapeutic care staff.

About our schools:
- Provide specialist direct and indirect therapeutic assessment and intervention for children and adolescents.
- Complete therapeutic reports, clinical formulations and therapeutic care plans for the children we care for.
- Work as part of a MDT and within a Team around the Child framework.
- Support residential carer’s to build and connect with their key children from an attachment perspective and using principles underpinned by PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and risk in relation to working with children and young people.
- Provide consultation to residential care staff underpinned by a brain-based, trauma informed approach.
- Hold a clinical case load in providing specialist trauma informed therapy for our children.
- Work therapeutically with children using a range of approaches dependent on what matches their needs and capacity to tolerate the work.
- Be able to make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
- Provide training for residential care staff and other professionals within the organisation.
What we are looking for:
- To have at least 2 years relevant experience post qualification.
- Be registered with HCPC or equivalent governing body.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication, particularly making complex information meaningful.
- Be motivated and have a genuine passion and care for children who have experienced trauma.
- Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence due to travelling to various homes in the Shropshire region.
