Cygnet Delfryn House is our high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for men who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act.

Picture this: every other weekend off, alternate bank holidays, and absolutely no split shifts or late finishes. Plus, say goodbye to long evenings – you’ll be wrapping up your day by 5:45 pm, even on weekends which are half days!

Join our team as a key member, working under the guidance of our head chef. Together, we’ll create nutritious and trendy dishes tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Experience is an advantage, but not necessary – we provide comprehensive training to all our staff.

Your day-to-day… 

  • Prepare, cook & serve nutritional, balanced and appetising meals
  • Work under the guidance of the head chef to produce nutritious and on trend dishes to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations 
  • Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures 
  • Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

What we are looking for?

  • A skilled Cook who can work under pressure 
  • Positivity, flair for cooking, and a can-do attitude.
  • The holder of a food hygiene certificate, with good personal hygiene standards
  • Polite & professional, with a positive attitude to internal & external quests at all times
  • An excellent communicator able to liaise with people at all levels
  • Able to work under your own initiative, as part of a team & under supervision
  • [Qualified in catering to City & Guilds 706: 1 & 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3]
