NCG is a national college group, offering further and higher education across our seven colleges. Our mission is to ‘enable social mobility and economic prosperity through exceptional education’ and we exist to create life-changing opportunities for individuals that strengthen the prosperity of their local communities.
Through ambitious teaching, innovative courses and outstanding learning environments, we aim to inspire excellence, spark curiosity and make a real impact on our learners and communities, with a vision to become the UK’s leading college group, recognised for our local impact, national reach and influence.
Together, our colleges and partners are creating the workforce of the future by enabling all people, regardless of their background, to develop the skills that our local communities need to be successful and sustained.
We’re made up of seven colleges and a central professional services team which supports our entire college network. Every NCG colleague, whatever their role, are an important part of helping us to achieve our goals, realise our vision and most importantly, support learners across our colleges to succeed.
Our people are at the heart of NCG and by joining our organisation, they will be valued, empowered and will benefit from being part of a national network of colleagues who they will be able to work and collaborate with, learn from and share knowledge.
At NCG, our values are not just about what we do, but also about how we do things. Our values underpin the culture and beliefs of our organisation, we expect all our staff to demonstrate behaviours in line with our core values.
- Being both inclusive and diverse
- Trusting and respecting our communities
- Taking ownership whilst working collaboratively
- Inspiring excellence and curiosity.
NCG seeks to promote and maintain an equal, diverse, inclusive and supportive environment for work and study that assists all members of our communities to reach their full potential. We are committed to achieving a truly representative workforce and therefore welcome applications from across the national and regional communities that we work with and serve.
Threaded throughout all that we do is our commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging– EDIB. This means equality of opportunity to both our learner, student, apprentice and colleague communities; an understanding of the rich experience we all gain from a diverse learner body and similar diversity in our staff base; and a culture that is inclusive – welcoming people from any and all backgrounds and life experiences, respectful of the differences they bring to our communities, and acknowledging that we have much to learn from being both inclusive and diverse.
