We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our team at our Head Offices in Abergavenny. Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Penarth, Barry, Porthcawl, Neath, Usk, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Llanfoist, Bristol, Chepstow, Pontypridd.Â

Reporting directly to the Head of People & Engagement, the HR Advisor will join our collaborative HR team who are always committed to going the extra mile. You will work in partnership with the HR Team to provide first-line HR Generalist support to designated teams which will include Employee Relations case management, driving the implementation of policies and upskilling our people leaders.
On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the HR Advisor will include the following (not exhaustive):
- Ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies & procedures at all times whilst sharing knowledge and upskilling our people leadersÂ
- Providing advice and guidance in respect of all employee relations cases; including disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, absence management, employee consultation, contractual amendments and performance management
- Assisting in the management of short and long-term absence and balancing the welfare of employees and the needs of the business to identify solutions
- Coaching and supporting people leaders in interviewing, assessment and selection methods
- Contributing to training needs analysis
- Participating in project teams and contributing to ad-hoc projects across the wider HR functionÂ
- Using available data to identify metrics and trends to help make informed decisions across a wide range of HR areasÂ
- When required, providing constructive challenges to the business and management teams to help drive business performanceÂ
*Please note this role is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract
The ideal candidate will be an HR Advisor who is in receipt of the following:
- Level 5 CIPD qualified or working towards a similar accreditationÂ
- Knowledge of Employment Law and ability to implement this in practical situationsÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven IT capabilities Â
- Ability to coach and influence at a range of levels within the organisationÂ
