Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Manager – Ayr – £34,650p.a. + benefits. An experienced warehouse manager is required to assist the Site Operations Manager with running the Bensons warehouse effectively to enable daily, weekly and monthly objectives to be met. Ensuring all inbound and outbound activities are completed to plan to deliver excellent service, whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety and cost control. Liaising  with other departments to ensure all customer orders are completed on time and in full.

Working hours : 8am -5pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility is a must during peak periods and to cover absence.

The Role

  • Support a safe and legally compliant Warehouse Operation
  • Supporting the Site Operations Manager ensuring that all processes are adhered to on site.
  • Supporting the warehouse operations, operating plans, equipment and resourcing levels meet demand.
  • Exemplifies the company’s values and behaviours. Be an inspirational leader communicating consistently.
  • Customer focused, ensuring all colleagues understand the impact their role has on customer service; managing performance to improve NPS.
  • Provide innovative solutions to continuously improve performance
  • Coach and mentor the team building talent and succession plans throughout the Warehouse Operation.
  • Work closely with the Site Operations Manager to ensure efficiencies can be identified and best in practice procedures put into place.
  • Supporting objective setting and performance reviews are in place for all colleagues.
  • Help to Organise service and maintenance of MHE in line with legal requirements.

The Skills needed…

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience within a warehousing operation at management level in warehousing and distribution environment
  • Experience using a warehouse management system
  • Previous supervisory experience 
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to improve team performance
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Computer literate
