We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Training Executive for Volunteering to join our team and ensure that our volunteers receive high-quality training to prepare them for their roles.

As the Training Executive for Volunteering, you will be responsible for administering, delivering, and developing a range of training programmes tailored to equip our volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to support our mission. The role will focus on both induction and specialised training such as Dementia and Driver Training, delivered in-person and online. You'll play a key role in ensuring that volunteers feel confident, informed, and prepared for their duties.

This post is working Monday to Friday for 36.25 hours per week. This role will require travel across all of our resources to deliver volunteer training.

What you will be doing:

  • Induction Training: Leading training for new volunteers, ensuring they are prepared for their roles.
  • Specialised Training: Delivering tailored programmes like Driver and Dementia Training using structured learning plans.
  • Administration & Coordination: Managing training services using Better Impact CRM, handle course bookings via Eventbrite, and follow up with volunteers who haven’t yet enrolled.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Volunteer Hub Managers to assess training needs and provide ongoing support through coffee mornings and drop-ins.
  • Training Development: Developing and update training materials, guides, and resources, both for in-person and e-learning platforms (Vyond and others).
  • Refresher Training: Scheduling and facilitating ongoing training sessions to ensure volunteers’ certifications remain up to date.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in HR, Education, or Training (Essential)
  • Experience in delivering volunteer training (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with developing online and face-to-face training content (Desirable)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Proven ability to manage workloads efficiently and independently
  • Confidence in both delivering training and developing training resources
