Overview
- To complete annual audit of all branches in allocated geographical area
- Assist Certification manager as required to ensure branches are adequately prepared for external audits (particularly ISO9/14/45/50001, HAE SafeHire and FORS)
- Complete detailed investigations into accidents and near misses occurring in branches and across the region
- To identify the root cause of incidents, prepare incident reports and suggest corrective actions required to prevent recurrence
- To ensure procedures around testing and servicing are up to date and promote the safest method of testing. The safe operation of equipment should be assured for our customers
- To be the first point of call for workshops with issues and queries when servicing equipment, including lifting items
- Be the primary contact for branch employees Safety Guardians with issues and queries around health, safety, the environment and energy
- Responsible for workshop and H&S training programme nationally, including induction of new employees
- To work with branches and the BSM to reduce levels of unavailable equipment through training, transferring items between branches and disposal
- To ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, personal health & safety
- Extensive knowledge of branch and workshop procedures, stock management and Brandon Hire Station equipment including lifting items
- Ability to produce reports to various levels within the business with meaningful recommendations
- Confident in delivering presentations/information to large groupsÂ
- Sound working knowledge of HSE legislation
- Approachable, with a desire to help resolve issues
- Flexible and willing to travel nationally and work in different locations across the UK as required by the role
- Experienced in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- ISO9001/14001/18001/FORS Lead Auditor qualifications or equivalent (Desirable – can complete after being appointed to the role)
- NEBOSH or similar H&S qualification – (desirable)
- LEEA Qualifications (Desirable – can complete after being appointed to the role)
- IT Literate with ability to analyse and order large amounts of data using Excel spreadsheets
- Current full driving licence

Salary: Competitive + Company Car
