You’ll support people with a learning disability, autism or both, at home and in the community to live life to the full. Care and support experience is not essential, we value the personal skills and interests you can bring to the role and lives of people we support. We have full and part-time vacancies available for 20 hours a week for day time and waking night only shifts.
You’ll join an encouraging team in supporting six individuals who live in Eastville, Bristol. You’ll also provide ‘outreach’ support to three individuals who live locally in their own homes and in a residential home.
You’ll enable the people you support to increase their independence and live life in the way they choose. You’ll provide person-centred support in all aspects of everyday life, including supporting with personal care and medication needs.

If you’re new to social care, we’ll support you to gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate.
You’re considerate, committed, resilient and respect people’s differences. Empathetic, you adapt your approach to individuals’ needs, have good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Some roles require sleep-in cover and pay a salary of £22,721 – £23,145 pa – this includes pay for sleep-ins. Full-time support workers in these services work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week.
Roles which require waking night cover, pay £10.02 – £10.24 ph. Full-time support workers in these services work 37.5 hours including a waking night.
You have the option of working additional hours (£10.02 – £10.24 p/h) or sleep-ins at £60 extra per sleep-in, in a range of services.
Successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
