We’re hiring for a Support Worker in Bodmin

We provide support to a number of people in the Bodmin area, in a variety of supported living settings; some people living in small groups of two or three, individuals living in their own home, and a new setting for nine people taking the next step to independence, moving into their new apartments.

The people we support are unique in their abilities, interests, preferences and needs.  As well as supporting people to develop their independent and daily living skills, we know people bring their own experiences and skills to enhance people's own abilities and interests, from music, gardening, playing pool, employment to help to achieve those personal aspirations each may have..

Working in friendly teams you’ll be supported in your role from day one. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. We have a variety of contract types, including waking nights only.  Visit our website for more information.

Your responsibilities: 

  • To empower the people we support to live the lives they want to lead 
  • To develop daily living skills. 
  • Support the people we support to access their communities for socialisation, employment, training or friendships 
  • To contribute to, develop and implement the individuals care plans. 
  • To communicate effectively and professionally with people we support, their family members, and external professionals. 
  • Maintain the health needs of the individuals we support 
  • A full manual driving licence
