Job Title: Store Manager

MAKING SALES COUNT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
At YMCA we excel in working to support young people and communities as we strive to promote care, inclusivity, and belonging and enable young people to contribute and thrive.
Within our retail stores, approximately ninety-five percent of what we sell is received in donations, demonstrating our commitment to helping both the environment and the local communities we serve.
YMCA England and Wales are embarking on a period of growth within our retail outlets and this is an exciting time to join our business. As a Store Manager, you will directly support and enable the amazing charity work that we do.
Operating within a fast paced environment, you will work effectively and efficiently to maximise income from sales, gift aid, and other promotions. Focussing on merchandising, stock rotation, and excellent customer service, you will raise funds for and promote the work of the YMCA within the community.
You will have great organisational skills, creative flair, and drive which, along with your commercial awareness, will enable you to motivate, develop and lead your team. You will be looking for an opportunity to work in an environment that presents both challenge and meaning.
If you are passionate about improving young lives, this may be the role for you.
We will offer you:
- A stimulating and varied role
- An opportunity to show your creative flair and entrepreneurial spirit whilst representing your community
- Sales performance reward, subsidised gym membership, healthcare, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, annual season ticket loan
As an employer committed to inclusivity we welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, who are currently under-represented throughout YMCA England & Wales
Safer recruitment is important to us and the successful applicant will be asked to provide two references. They will also be required to complete a safeguarding self-declaration and undertake a DBS check.
