Skipton Building Society has anexciting opportunity for a Senior Model Governance Analyst to join its CreditRisk & Risk Modelling team in Skipton. You will develop, implement and maintain modelgovernance processes and controls with a breadth of opportunity to add value tothe Society. Weâ€™ve adapted really well to home working during the currentpandemic, so although the role is based at our Head Office in Skipton therewould not be a requirement for you to be in the office full time. You will have the opportunity to work flexiblyacross the Credit Risk & Risk Modelling team to support leaders andcollaborate with colleagues to deliver department priorities and personalobjectives as required. At times the role may also involve working with crossfunctional project teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Model Governance Analyst, you willhave a passion for data and analytical governance within a highly regulatedenvironment. Youâ€™ll be responsible for ensuring governance practices are developed, documented,implemented and maintained within the Credit Risk & Risk Modelling teams.You will liaise closely with other data and analytics areas to ensureconsistency of approach and sharing of ideas to strengthen the broader Societygovernance framework. As ahighly motivated individual, you will identify opportunities to support change,through initiatives and projects.
This role will allow you to build excellentrelationships with a range of stakeholders. Youâ€™ll act as a role model,supporting activities across the Society, demonstrating an awareness of theexternal environment and applicable regulation, where you will bring a deepunderstanding of risk controls and a good understanding of modelling andeconomics. You wonâ€™t hesitate to workautonomously and manage own workloads, identifying opportunities. Youâ€™llcontinue your development, gaining relevant specialist skills and training in appropriateanalytical tools to aid your work, share best practice, with the potential tocoach more junior members. There will beopportunity to work across the Credit Risk & Risk Modelling function on arange of activity.

With a background in data or analyticalgovernance and experience in using advanced Excel, SAS, SQL, R or Python,youâ€™ll have the aptitude and enthusiasm to apply these skills to maintainrobust processes and controls.
