This is an exciting time to join our team as our SAP Lead Test Manager as we embark on a major business transformation programme. Anglian Water uses SAP as its core central ERP system, it is the heart of our IT business landscape and underpins the business operations. We are embarking on a re-implementation from ECC6 to S/4HANA, including a strong move to harmonise our business processes by driving to adopt SAP standard.

As our Lead Test Manager, you will be key to the successful adoption and implementation of the SAP S/4 platform. You’ll hold overall responsibility for the successful testing of the solution through the cascade of test cycles.

You’ll be responsible for the management of quality and test advocacy, complex dependency planning, resource planning & management, defect tracking and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.

What does it take to be our Programme Test Manager?

  • Educated to degree level

  • SAP S/4 implementation experience is essential

  • SAP Activate methodology

  • Use of SAP Solution Manager

  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the ITIL v4 service lifecycle (especially Service Transition)

  • Significant experience working in complex multi-project test environments

  • Experience as a Test Manager

  • Considerable experience in using HP Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM).

  • Experience in implementing and maturing processes/methodologies (especially where that experience relates to test process / methodologies)

  • Experience in transitioning large scale programmes covering multiple internal teams & vendors.

  • Experience in writing test strategies and other test artefacts

  • Experience working within a multi-vendor team structure

  • Extensive data analysis experience

  • Working knowledge of service design and transition principles

  • Experience of working at a management level & advising senior managers & Directors

  • Experience of line management of teams; direct and indirect
