Reuse Appliance Cleaner – Grantham

As an Appliance Cleaner at ENVA, based in Grantham, you will play a key role in the refurbishment of Electrical Appliances. You will be responsible for cleaning a wide range of  domestic appliance for reuse and sale, adhering to safety and environmental regulations. This position contributes to ENVA’s sustainability efforts by promoting efficient waste management and recycling practices. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning a wide range of domestic appliances including washing machines, fridges and cookers 
  • Stripping down and cleaning various parts of the appliance
  • Good attention to detail is essential for the cleaning standard
  • Must be able to follow instruction from the manager and work as part of a team
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly those relating to the handling of appliances
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring work areas are free of hazards.
This is not an exhaustive list.  You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or waste management environment
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to recycling.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Full-time role based in Grantham.
  • 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 
  • ÂŁ12.21 per hour 
  • Work environment is predominantly in a warehouse or processing facility.
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
