Seeking Team Leader Nurses for/in …

The support we provide is centred around each person’s values, preferences and needs this includes developing daily living skills, accessing a wider community, personal care and medication needs. In this role, you’ll lead the team, run shifts, manage the support workers and support the health needs of the individuals. Ensuring that the people we support receive health care and treatment consistent with their Health Action Plan and Care Plans. 

We’ll support your CPD and Revalidation, your learning needs and clinical practice through training, our internal clinical network and external networks. You can also undertake study for further qualifications.

You will:  

  • Have a nursing qualification with current NMC registration (RNLD, RMN or RGN) 

  • Resilient, confident and calm under pressure. 

  • Experience working with people with a learning disability. 

  • Flexible, open to a challenge and innovative in your approach. 

  • Clinical expertise or willing to learn and undertake relevant clinical skills 

  • Ability to drive and willingness to use your own transport on Brandon business is desirable 

  • Able to foster a positive team-working environment, you can inspire your team. 

 

Your responsibilities:  

  • You’ll provide specialist nursing and be a role model in the delivery of direct support to people with a learning disability. 

  • Be involved in the day-to-day organisation of the work of the support team so that people receive the right amount of support at the right time at the agreed level. 

  • You’ll work closely with the locality manager and have a real say in how the service develops. 

  • Support people to achieve their personal outcomes in relation to managing their daily life. 

  • Carry out nursing procedures in line with local or district guidelines. 

  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team, families and stakeholders, where appropriate, to ensure continuity of care. 

  • Work closely with other professionals to develop safe systems of working and achieve the best possible outcomes.
