Job Description:

Our Salaries team are looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist to assist with payroll queries, work to deadlines and ensure all colleagues are paid correctly.
Main Responsibilities

Deal promptly and efficiently with all payroll queries to ensure deadlines are met and all employees paid accurately

Calculating & entering employee amendments including starters, leavers, ad hoc payments/deductions, salary amendments onto the payroll system

Control and validate all variable input for the payroll, both manual and import

Work with Payroll manager to create/maintain effective internal controls for the payroll function.

Perform Data cleanse exercise and analysis on all payroll and benefit platforms

Identify and implement payroll process improvements and best practices to drive excellence to eliminate manual processes

Partner with other departments regarding operational process links to maximise efficiencies.

Produce timely and accurate payroll reconciliations
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an individual who is highly organised with a high level of attention to detail, who is adaptable and can ensure all work deadlines are adhered to. The successful candidate will be able to work well as part of a team and also as an individual using their own initiative. You will also have a willingness to learn and have the ability to interact with colleagues from across the business. A proven track record in payroll with experience of:

Full End to End Payroll Administration including Tax Year End and P11d processing

Maintaining employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Taking Ownership, having experience in dealing with a wide range of payroll queries/escalations

Pensions and Benefit admin experience.

Complete knowledge of payroll legislation.

Experienced in calculations with NI, Tax and Statutory payments (SMP, SSP etc)
