Media Make-Up and Special effects Lecturer
Salary range £28,840 – £35,541 (This will be pro-rated)
Maternity Leave cover – 12 months contract, 26 hours per week
The Sheffield College are looking to recruit a ‘Media Make up/special effects Lecturer’.
You MUST have a ‘Teaching & Assessing’ and ‘Level 3 Hair and Media Make up’ qualification.
The role is on a part-time basis, 4 days teaching in the college, on a temporary basis.
A December start is needed.
The role of Media make-up lecturer is ideal if you:
- Want a varied role where creativity, innovation and imagination are at the forefront of engaging learners.
- Have knowledge of the industry that you can pass on and inspire post 16 students.
- Maintain a high standard of industry and department standards.
- Encourage networking and work experience
Day-to-day you will handle:
- Delivery of VTCT qualifications to Level 2 and level 3 learners
- Provide skin care, make-up, hair, and special effects knowledge and techniques.
- The monitoring of progress, work, and assignment submissions.
- Using IT and a range of resources to deliver a varied curriculum.
- Support with pastoral, well-being, and mental health.

Have industry experience, teaching experience and an understanding of further education.
