About the role
We are looking for a Licensing Manager to manage the Club’s international and digital licensing programme and promote retention through best- in-class service. The post holder will support the Head of Global Licensing with programme development, leading and representing the Club on key workstreams.
You will be responsible for the account management of a portfolio of Newcastle United’s licensees and international agents, building and maintaining strong relationships across key business functions.
In addition to account management, your responsibilities will include business development, product development and management, rights delivery, royalty reporting, debtor management, and business planning, prioritisation and reviews.
Your impact
You will have extensive brand licensing experience, preferably with exposure to a global sports property, along with demonstrable experience managing external relationships with key stakeholders.
You will have significant experience planning, preparing and negotiating license renewals, upsells and commercial agreements with service providers.
You will have advanced technical knowledge of digital licensing, including the monetization models, deal constructions and commercial opportunities for football clubs.
You will be a self-starter, with strong attention to detail and highly organised.
You will be flexible to work across time zones and attend match days to host licensees.
About the team
You will be part of our Retail and Licensing Department, reporting to our Head of Global Licensing.
You will work closely with our Licensing Executive and the wider Retail and Licensing Department, which covers eCommerce, Buying and Merchandising, Retail Marketing and Stores.
