About the role
Do you have an interest or passion in climate change mitigation and adaptation? Are you looking for a position where you can make a real difference to help us deliver our carbon reduction plans across the authority by supporting the learning of others?Â
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Team within Cambridgeshire County Council as a Learning and Development Advisor working on the development and delivery of Net Zero learning solutions in support of the Authority’s Vision, Strategic Ambitions and Climate Change and Environment Strategy. Â
As part of the wider Strategy and Partnerships Directorate, the Learning and Development Team sits within HR Services. We provide a blended learning offer through online training, face to face courses and eLearning modules to CCC employees enabling all of us to best serve the communities and citizens of Cambridgeshire. Â
About you
The ideal applicant will have experience in the development, design and delivery of learning solutions, good communication and organisational skills, the ability to influence a wide range of people and be able to generate creative solutions to problems. If required, we will also support the successful candidate to undertake Carbon Literacy Trust accreditation.Â
We make good use of technology, and this enables our team to work from home, there are times when we come together in person and this typically will be at our team’s offices at Stanton House in Huntingdon, or our brand-new Headquarters building at Alconbury Weald.  Travel will also be required across the county to facilitate the delivery of face to face in-person training.  Â
For an informal discussion, please contact Bev Gelder – bev.gelder@cambridgeshire.gov.ukÂ
*Interviews to be held 19th – 20th OctoberÂ
