Job Title: KW Farm Team – Technical Feed Sales Specialist (Ruminant)
Location: South West Scotland region

This is a unique role working in our KW Feed Sales team that will involve going out to our farm customers to build long term relationships, offering feed and nutrition recommendations and solutions. Your focus will be to build relationships with targeted farmers in your area, find solutions to the technical and nutritional needs of their herd and selling KW products directly to the farms, requiring both technical knowledge and sales acumen.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create, communicate and gain senior stakeholder agreement to a compelling 3-year growth plan for the sales region.
- Ensure the delivery of the sales plan in partnership with key stakeholders to achieve budgetary targets; sales margins and volumes in the region to maximise business performance
- Working closely with KW Retail team where leads and prospects have been identified within the wider dairy division; collaboration between teams where commercial opportunities can be shared will be crucial
- Understand strategic products and co-products within the area to help maximise profitability
- Take ownership for the territory and ledger, ensuring collaboration with regional and functional teams.
- Share up to date market knowledge with colleagues enabling Feed Ingredients to maximise potential market opportunities.
- Contribute to a culture within the sales team where collaboration and sharing of knowledge between colleagues offers opportunities for best practice within the team.
- ‘Solution based’ selling skills, attributing value to customer benefits.
- Good commercial negotiator, with experience in an agricultural D2F sales role.
- Analytical with good commercial awareness.
- Maintained a progressive network with industry influencers.
- Ability to develop influential relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Great communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to sell concepts in a compelling way.
- Understanding of business drivers with the ability to translate that knowledge to cohesive plans.
- In depth understanding of the fundamental drivers of the UK ruminant industry.
- Thrives working in a target driven environment with a pro-active approach.
