Job Purpose and Summary

Canon is looking for an IT Contract Performance Manager to join the Business applications team responsible for IT application Delivery and Operations. In this role you will be responsible for strategic contractual communications to the identified IT vendors Canon is working with. You will monitor, review and report strategic contract SLA’s and KPI’s, if needed, create new designs and adjustments to ensure that Vendors comply and report to the SLA’s and KPI’s to confirm end-to-end Canon Business Continuity. Moreover you will act as the first point of contact towards IT director for contract discussions across these IT Operations partners. 

This role is recognized as an expert and advisor within Canon EMEA and is well suited for someone who has in depth expertise in Vendor contracts, SLA, KPIs and have operational understanding of these contracts and broad commercial knowledge of other disciplines within IT.

What we give

As an IT Contract Performance Manager, you will:

  • Actively manage the agreed contract details for our Strategic IT Vendors, across the Solution and Adoption division and teams, ensuring control and maximum value on the contract and create cost optimization opportunities.
  • Have commercial awareness and authority to keep the contracts current by regularly validating the scope and facilitating changes.
  • Provide performance improvements to support the executive meetings, liaising with the various teams, ensuring all services are measured and reported.
  • Manage the cross team elements of the Strategic vendor contracts, such as Volume Discounts, reporting, Exit Plans, etc. Including the initial vendor discussions and preparations and provide necessary solutions to improve KPI and SLAs.
  • Liaise with the PMO to ensure staffing forecast and project pipelines are available and regularly updated, ensuring on time skilled resources in place.
  • Support and align the respective ACO / relationship manager with all contract(ing) elements.
  • Liaise with Vendor Management and Procurement for the onboarding new Strategic IT vendors and major contract extensions/updates/RFPs.
  • This will be measured by providing clarity to Contract owners with improvements of SLA and KPIs with partners
  • Liaise with the CMDB manager to ensure up to date application scope.
  • Manage quarterly contract update cycles to ensure we stay compliant with contract renewals
  • Review Capgemini, TCS, Wipro vendors holistically, for all IT business executed with them. Lead requests with business for alignment as needed where these vendors also provide work there to ensure E2E operational responsibility

What we ask

As an IT Contract Performance Manager, you will need:

  • Have at least 7 years experience in a similar role or environment in reviewing strategic vendor contracts and converting them to practical SLAs and KPIs
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of external market influences which can impact strategic contracts agreements
  • Strong communications skills – ability to negotiate comfortable both internally and externally
  • Solid understanding of managing and controlling Application Delivery Services
  • Solid understanding of managing and controlling Application Maintenance Services
  • Sufficient legal understanding of contracting (language).
  • To be able to carve time & attention with key stakeholders for (contract) elements that are not imminent, but do require attention
  • To be able to mix short term priority elements with a strong medium and long term planning
