We are looking for an outstanding Housekeeping Supervisor with a passion for making a difference to others. 

You’ll be working full time at Cygnet Pindar House, helping to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care. 

Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntington’s Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The service accepts unplanned, often urgent admissions where a service user requires a safe place to start treatment at the earliest possible time as well as planned admissions.

Your day-to-day…

  • To supervise and guide domestic staff team, ensuring all areas of the hospital are cleaned on a daily basis.
  • Involvement in creating and maintaining cleaning regimes – daily, weekly,
    periodically etc. for the Hospital (excluding kitchen for which Chef has
    responsibility).
  • Liaise with the Hospital Manager/supplier when ordering cleaning products, report on their effectiveness as well as undertaking monthly stock checks and ensuring safe storage.
  • Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures 
  • Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

You are… 

  • Have experience previously in a leadership/supervisory position
  • Experienced in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work 
  • Knowledgeable of COSHH 
  • Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude
  • A good communicator

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
