About the role

Longlands Care home provides exceptional levels of support in nursing, residential and Dementia care.

It is situated in Daventry and it offers a wonderful living environment in which our residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

We have teams of friendly and committed staff who provide the highest level of dementia care and residential care.

With our great accommodation and facilities and a programme of activities, our care home evoke a home from home atmosphere in which our residents can feel comfortable, content and very well cared for.

What will you be doing?

As a Part time Housekeeper in our care home, you’ll carry out a range of duties such as cleaning, laundry and other domestic tasks in both communal and resident private rooms/areas of the home. Establish and maintain relationships with residents that are based on respect and equality.  Support, assist other staff members in promoting a cheerful, pleasant and homelike environment whilst demonstrating a friendly attitude towards residents.

  • Maintain all areas in the home to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene.
  • Including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, moping, furnishing, crockery, cutlery, kitchen appliances, toilets, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, windows and refuse disposal areas.
  • Laundry care. 

Experience would be ideal.

24 hours per week: 7.5 hour shifts (over 3/ 4 days). – To include alternate weekends.

About you

This is all in a day’s work…..

You’ll have high standards and will ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and with great attention to detail.

A basic knowledge of health, safety and hygiene knowledge is required for this role, and previous experience within a cleaning or housekeeping job is desirable but not essential.
