The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Engineering Integration to join SZC, leading the Engineering Integration (IE) team and owning the design configuration and replication strategy throughout the life of the project. 

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role

This is a key role within the Sizewell C Project organisation and is directly responsible for the strategy and delivery of replication principles and configuration management.

What you’ll do:

Develop, maintain and implement the replication principles and ensure that they are communicated, understood and applied correctly.

Own and manage the design configuration and design replication strategy over the life of the SZC Project.

Manage the overall design and design integration by managing the engineering interfaces between Programmes.

Provide the framework and governance arrangements within which requirements, configuration items and configuration information are transferred from HPC to SZC.

Manage the Client engineering processes, the technical open points, risks, issues and opportunities and implements and leads the engineering governance and controls to manage decisions project-level decisions.

Manage the technical interfaces between the Sizewell C programmes and ensure that appropriate levels of challenge and governance are applied to all proposals to change the design configuration.

Lead the Engineering Integration team.
