Salary: £19,816 – £22,018 pa

B3living is currently the largest provider of social housing in the Broxbourne area, owning and managing almost 5000 properties in Hertfordshire and Essex. Our aim is to provide safe and secure homes for our customers and strengthen our local community whilst delivering excellent customer service.

We’re looking for a Caretaker to work within a team responsible for a designated area, providing caretaking and cleaning services to a high standard.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for residents on our estates, providing a professional and responsive service and using initiative to respond to requests and complaints appropriately

  • Ensure estate based issues such as fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles, repairs and anti-social behaviour are reported promptly

  • Report all accidents or incidents 

  • Carry out cleaning duties within communal areas of our blocks including but not limited to; sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cobwebbing, cleaning windows and walls, removing graffiti.

  • Carry out duties to external areas of our estates such as bulk waste removal, sweeping hard standings and garage areas, litter picking, cleansing of bin stores and managing refuse.


We’ll need you to demonstrate that you:

  • Have experience working in a customer focused role

  • Ideally have previously held a role carrying out caretaking/cleaning duties

  • Excellent customer care skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to follow procedures and safe working practices 

Due to the nature of the role you must have a willingness to work flexibly during business hours and a DBS check is required.
