Salary: £26,769.60 to £28,371.20 pro rata

Qualified to Early Years Professional Status (QTS), PGCE BA (Hons) in Early Education, or equivalent essential.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and implement the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
  • Lead and inspire nursery staff within the rooms, encouraging reflective practice, introducing new ideas and inspiring a creative approach to childcare
  • Supervise, appraise and develop staff, supporting learning and challenging poor practice that falls short of regulatory and CHS requirements
  • Find opportunities for self-development and be a reflective practitioner
  • Communicate clearly and relate well to children, parents, staff and external agencies, in a calm and patient manner. 
  • Positively promote the welfare of the children in our care
  • Share and support the strong ethos of our Nursery and foster positive relations with parents/carers
  • Keep childrens’ development records and produce Education and Care Plans when required

About you

  • Qualified to Early Years Professional Status (QTS), PGCE BA (Hons) in Early Education, or equivalent, essential
  • Strong leadership skills and a creative approach to learning and development
  • A genuine desire to make a positive contribution from day one
  • Adaptable to meet the variable needs of the children and the Nursery.
  • Friendly, flexible, reliable and committed
  • Supportive Team player and effective communicator (both verbally and in writing)
  • Qualified to Early Years Professional Status (QTS) *PCGE *BA (Hons) in Early Education, or equivalent.
