We have an exciting opportunity available in the Digital teamas a Digital Content Publishing Leader for a 12-month period to cover maternityleave. The successful candidate will lead the team in the publishing of contentacross Skipton’s websites, and oversee the content delivery across Agile Hubsand Squads that the team work in. This is a great role for someone with excellentleadership, coaching and mentoring qualities, technical aptitude and a passionfor delivering engaging Digital experiences to our existing and prospectivecustomers.

Main Responsibilities

This is a varied role with line management responsibilitiesof direct reports for Digital Content Developers. In addition to the contentdevelopers, there are line management responsibilities for Digital UAT Testersthrough cross matrix management with the Digital UAT Lead. Proving expertise inDigital content development and publishing using the Content Management Systemin another key part of this role.

You will work on projects, in Agile Change Hubs and Squads,working with multiple stakeholders from different teams. This is a hands-onrole receiving and reviewing work briefs, building/updating web pages andcontent, ensuring all sign off is obtained and published. You will also provideexpertise and support to the content developers in your team, advising them onbest practice where necessary. Other aspects of the role are providingconsultancy, troubleshooting and you’ll be a go-to person for stakeholdersacross the business who require Digital content changes.

Other responsibilities include estimating and planningdifferent work items to ensure an effective spread of resource across the workcoming into the team. Ensuring process is followed and quality assurance of theteam’s work.  Due to the nature of therole you will also have proven written skill with a strong command of literacyand grammar, as there’s some proof reading and peer checking involved.

Ideal Candidate

A strong leader with experience of leading a multi-disciplineteam from a functional and line management perspective. Developing, coachingand leading team members.

Experience of working in a Digital focussed team with atechnical aptitude to provide subject matter expertise and guidance. We arelooking for someone who can build knowledge to liaise with development teams ontechnical topics impacting the content development but also distil to lesstechnical stakeholders, so communications skills are key.

Experience of using and working with Content ManagementSystems or similar applications to deliver engaging digital content online.

We are looking for someone who can manage and deliverseveral tasks simultaneously, is effective at planning and prioritising and canwork against changing and tight deadlines. Someone who leads by example in ateam and can work on own initiative.
