What you'll be doing

As a Customer Support Officer, you’ll need to use your judgement to support, advise and guide your customers, and you’ll take responsibility for gathering information or finding out answers. We give a great service by putting your customers’ interests at the heart of every decision we make and this will be your focus too.

But don’t worry, you’ll have 3 weeks of training during your first 16 weeks to make sure you’re ready with the knowledge and confidence to support our customers.

Even then, you won’t be on your own; you’ll be an important part of a great team supporting you as you gain experience in handling a wide variety of queries over the phone.

Take the first step in your career within Social Housing, where you get to make a real difference in peoples live, with a great family feel team to boot!

More about you

Having experience of speaking to customer and solving problems (not necessarily in a Contact Centre environment) is integral.

Having a desire to help people will matter to you, and you’ll find great satisfaction using your amazing customer skills to give them the best experience possible knowing you are going to be making a difference to people’s lives every day.

You will need to be comfortable using a computer including the Microsoft packages, we will train you to use our internal systems.

At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in a fast paced environment where no day is ever the same!

Please note: This role is known internally as Customer Service Representative

When and where you'll be doing it

To serve our customers well, our Customer Service lines are open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday.

Our office isn't open on Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays. You will know well in advance the shift patterns you will be working each week but you will need to be able to commit to working flexibly, based on your customers’ needs.

What you’ll get in return

We think you’ll have a job that makes you feel good about what you’re doing and help us to make a difference to our customers’ lives every day.

So in return for all your hard work, not only do you get a great salary but we also offer:

  • A day’s leave on your birthday
  • 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 after 3 years’ service
  • Company Pension contribution of up to 10%
  • Flexible Benefits including health care, gym membership, buying holiday
  • And participation in our annual Homes for Good reward (upto 5% of your annual salary).

One more thing

Here at Curo we are about getting the right candidate for the right role.  We recognise that as an organisation we are underrepresented in certain areas so we operate the disability confident scheme and we welcome applications from applicants who identify as LGBT or are from an Ethnic Minority background. It would also be great to get applications from our Curo customers too.

If you need support to assist you to make an application or attend an interview, then please email our recruitment team at and we will be happy to help.
