Business analysts that work within our IT team have recently delivered a variety of bespoke solutions to help launch a new product / division. This has required them to work with stakeholders that are internal as well as external to develop websites, mobile applications, operational systems and vendor integrations to handle various aspects of the business proposition.

Some examples of these applications are retail websites, vendor portal and mobile applications, internal production management systems and management reporting suite.

The multiple projects were delivered following agile principles and were meant to coincide with the product launch which has been extremely successful.

We want someone with a solid background in bespoke systems development and processes to come join our team of business analysts and help us design the future. This is a role which will want you to learn about our business practices and push yourself and the organisation towards continuous improvement of these.

· Scoping: Define business change initiatives and their scope.

· Gather business requirements and translate these to guide development teams

· Provide solutions, break down problems into smaller pieces

· Process modelling and re-engineering

· Prepare detailed plans and set expectations with stakeholders and users through

each stage of the project

· Project Management

· Manage business teams, IT deliverables and external suppliers to achieve desired

project outcomes

· Manage and assist the configuration of IT systems – like set up new cost centres,

items etc.

· Organise data collection, cleansing and loading

· Organise training workshops, train users and prepare training content

· Prepare test plans and test scenarios, test software releases and prepare release


· Monitor release, remove blockages, create solutions, create a product that works

You’ll have a business partner approach and great interpersonal skills, being confident in engaging with a range of stakeholders and customers to understand their needs, and sometimes challenge their understanding or expectations.

You’ll be an excellent communicator, knowing how to ask the right questions of a range of stakeholders, from yard managers to directors, and apply that knowledge to your process design.

You’ll need to know and learn our business to design and deliver the best possible solutions – you might go to one of our sites to see our people and equipment in action, and you’ll continue to support and engage them throughout the evolution of your process.

You’ll be resilient, able to adapt and overcome challenges. Not everything works first or second time round, but you’ll learn and adapt your approach demonstrating continuous improvement, and you’ll also have the support of our brilliant IT and operations department, where we love to develop our people.

You may have already successfully managed and delivered complicated implementation plans – quite often over multiple sites and countries, with different internal and external customers.

You’ll be flexible. We value work/life balance and you’ll approach your task knowing you’ll have the ability to work from home as long as we get to see you at our Warrington offices regularly.

Technically, you’ll know your stuff and have experience of working in an Agile team. You’ll have a significant understanding of Agile Development Processes (Sprint/ Scrum/ Backlog/ Epics / User Stories).

You’ll have experience and understanding of process modelling, solution design, requirement gathering, testing, training and implementations.
