We are currently looking for a Bid Manager to join our National Commercial team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a team that contributes to winning significant major projects for UK infrastructure with key clients.
This role will offer hybrid working and the suitable candidate must be flexible to visit various sites and offices nationally.

The successful Bid Manager will contribute to winning significant UK Infrastructure Projects targeted by the National Commercial Team, through the management and production of best in class tender submissions, capability documents and pre-qualification questionnaires either individually or through managing a larger bid team to strict deadlines.
You will also manage, mentor, and support direct reports and other bid team members.
The Bid Manager will lead on the implementation and review of the Major Projects Processes, developing best practices and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders. This will include management of a national pipeline of opportunities and supporting early engagement activities with the National Commercial Team.
The ideal candidate for the role of Bid Manager will have experience within a similar industry or work winning environment, this role could be suited for an experienced Bid Manager looking to focus their major project skills or a Bid writer with 3-5 years’ experience looking to take the next step in their career.
You will also have experience of:
APMP accreditation (desirable)
Strong, demonstratable writing skills and effective communication
Excellent understanding of bid process
Identifying “Unique Selling Points” (USP) in the context of a tender submission and translate USPs into a winning bid.
Previous experience of managing bids bid management
Ability to establish and understand Client requirements, including reviewing and/or analysis of tender documentation.
Ability to communicate with internal and external customers using a variety of communication mediums including visits to Clients’ offices and Tarmac’s regional offices.
Market awareness and competitor knowledge.
