Salary: Up to £50,309.70 per annum

Do you have the knowledge and experience of working with a wide range of properties that can help Longhurst Group review our property portfolio, to maximise our assets ensuring they are fit for future purpose? Offered on a 2 year fixed term contract (36.25hrs per week) you will work as part of the Construction Services team within the Development department, you will be responsible for carrying out the role of Asset Maximisation Surveyor undertaking building and condition surveys of  existing stock  for planned maintenance/options appraisal purposes and Contract Administrator on new build, refurbishment and planned maintenance projects, whilst acting as ‘Ambassador’ for the organisation to build and maintaining excellent relationships with our partner organisations.

This is a hybrid role, whereby you will work from home, one of our offices (Boston, Rushden or Walsall) and may travel for meetings or training across our geography (Midlands, East of England).

You will review project briefs with our clients, lead on agreeing and administering the form of contracts to be used and support the design and contract teams reporting on design, cost, programme and risk register. In this role you will have a high level of autonomy to make decisions and carry out improvements to properties through project work. This role will enable you to utilise your building knowledge to bring about positive change, subsequently helping to improve the lives of our customers.

The provision of regular site inspection reports and the cross checking of these will also form part of your role as will ensuring the contract and professional teams are fully aware of the hand over procedure.

To be successful in this role your CV will demonstrate a successful career within the social housing industry, and you will ideally be a member of RICS. We will also consider applicants from the wider property industry who can bring experience/ transferrable skills to review properties and carry out this role.

You will be able to bring a working knowledge of affordable housing stock, EPC (energy performance) regulations as well as HCA requirements. To be successful you will also have knowledge of construction contract administration and be familiar with housing building and relevant building regulations. This role will require a highly organised individual who is driven by delivering positive outcomes to both properties and customers alike.
