Area Manager – Midlands and North

Up to £45,000 per annum plus Company Car and Health Insurance

We are looking for an experience Area Manager to join our team to cover the North & Midlands area of the UK.

The role is to develop and lead a team of managers to provide exceptional service to our clients and to manage the employee life cycle. Manage client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to. Drive facilities management and support service solutions that exceed customer requirements whilst delivering key financial targets and contract

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Ensure delivery of continuous improvement plans
  • Adherence to all client and company Policies
  • Ensure delivery and management of labour strategy in line with contract specifications
  • Delivery of all HSE requirements both contractually and legislatively
  • Management of required licenses
  • Monitor and delivery of contractual and internal KPI’s, identify and help develop continuous improvements
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Achievement of financial budgets
  • Training and development of all employees
  • Maintain /monitor Sub-Contractor adherence to client and company policy
  • Assist in the development of strategies for growth and retention
  • Ensure the implementation of any governance and communication strategies


  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience at management level – value in excess £1M (contract / regional management) or ability to demonstrate they have the desired acumen to discharge the role as set out in the Key Accountabilities
  • Experience of Hard & Soft Facilities Management
  • Demonstrable financial acumen applicable for the role requirements in managing a P&L
  • Have a proven track record of delivering client / customer satisfaction through their teams
  • Ability to work flexibly & remotely
  • Management experience leading and inspiring operational teams, working within brand guidelines to deliver results
  • Successful implementation of any change programmes to deliver operational benefits 
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills  
  • Corporate Alignment – Aligns their team to the business, values, and commitments 
  • Results Orientation – Goes the extra mile and targets their teams to deliver
  • Valid driving license


  • SIA Licence holder 
  • Formal FM accreditation / qualification (IWFM) or working towards
  • Experience of managing soft services, inc. contract catering delivery
  • Experience in highly commercial and price sensitive markets
