Haven
are currently seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Function.
This
role plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager – Accounting to
maintain accurate financial records, comply with reporting standards, and
provide valuable insights into the company’s financial performance. This role
requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of
accounting principles and reporting requirements.
This
is a full-time, permanent position based at our Head Office in Hemel Hempstead,
with an expectation of three days per week onsite and the remainder working
remotely.
Your Opportunity:
To learn, develop and become an expert in a key area of the business by:
– Supporting the Finance Manager – Accounting to manage the weekly, month-end and year-end financial close processes for Haven.
– Supporting General Managers and Finance Business Partners with timely and accurate information.
– Optimising the functionality of ERPX for more efficient period close and reporting.
– Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and support for all balances, highlighting as required areas of risk and opportunity against budgets and forecasts
– Helping to establish & maintain best practice for P&L and BS accounting throughout the Finance Operations team.
– Conducting variance analysis to identify discrepancies in financial results and assisting in providing explanations and recommendations for improvement
