Halesowen College
#HereForYou
We’re here for every kind of learner, wherever they come from and wherever they want to go next. Here to support every kind of future, wherever it lies and whatever the pathway. Together, we’re here for students – valuing their individuality and hearing their voices. We’re here for parents and employers too. And the local community we’re proud to be at the heart of. And each other. Always. We’re a place for achievement, ambition and aiming higher. For belonging and believing. For excellent learning and better lives.
We’re Halesowen College. And we’re here for you.
About us
We are proud to provide high quality education and skills development to young people and adults both on campus, within the community and, through our apprenticeship offer, in the workplace. Established in 1966, we are ambitious, caring, inclusive and recognised for our friendly and supportive learning community. We help learners and staff to achieve their goals whatever they may be.
Our achievement rates are outstanding, and our excellent teachers help ensure success in our modern, well-resourced campuses.
Halesowen College – a great place to work
In September 2023, we were rated as GOOD by OFSTED. This is testament to the commitment and dedication of all our staff in making Halesowen College a great place to work. We have also been recognised as a Leader in Diversity which has been retained since November 2020, for Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement.
We have a culture of high standards, innovation and ambition; a learning environment where staff and students’ wellbeing is paramount, where everyone can be themselves – allowing them to Learn, Flourish and Succeed.
Our facilities, buildings and resources are modern, inviting and the campuses are an exciting place to learn and work. We operate from four main sites; Whittingham Road, Shenstone House, Coombs Wood Centre and our new site Trinity Point, that is home to our digital and media curriculum areas with state-of-the-art technology.
Halesowen College is an inclusive and supportive environment to work. Staff report they are well supported by their line manager, feeling able to approach them, that they receive regular feedback and feel confident in what is expected of them. Staff work hard and work well together.

Equality and Diversity
We believe that diversity in our workforce enriches our organisation, makes us more effective in accomplishing our mission, and is a key to our continued success. We value the unique perspectives and experiences that underrepresented groups bring to the table, and we know that this diversity helps us make better decisions, create innovative solutions, and build stronger relationships.
We strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to apply for our open positions. Our college is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, and we recognise that a diverse workforce allows us to better serve our students and community.
